Dr. Elias Salzer studied biomedical engineering and tissue engineering in Vienna, Austria and joined to group of Prof. Keita Ito for his PhD at the TU Eindhoven in the Netherlands.

Previously, he worked with different biomaterials, cells, and bioreactors in the field of tissue engineering, always on the cutting edge of biology and technology. During this science café he spoke about his work in the iPSpine project, were he investigated the human spine in the laboratory.
